✍The Arab League suspends Syria, Lebanon "dissociates"

On 12 November 2011 the Arab League suspended Syria's membership over the suppression of the uprising, and Lebanon registered reservations on the decision together with Iraq and Yemen; the "dissociation" policy, later enshrined in the Baabda Declaration, began.
