✍The Forces withdraw from Zahle

On 30 June 1981 the Lebanese Forces fighters withdrew from Zahle under a settlement sponsored by the American envoy Philip Habib and the Arab League, and the Internal Security Forces took over the city; a siege that had lasted three months ended.
