●Nasrallah meets Jumblatt: the PSP tips the balance to Mikati

On 21 January 2011, nine days after the fall of Hariri's government, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah met Walid Jumblatt in the southern suburbs; Jumblatt afterwards declared that he stood with "Syria and the resistance", and his bloc's votes secured the majority to name Najib Mikati on 25 January.
