⚔Amal fights a pro-Saddam group

In April 1982 the Amal Movement fought fierce battles in West Beirut, the southern suburbs and the South against factions of the National Movement and Palestinian organisations backed by Iraq and Libya (the movement's main rivals in the South), while Fatah tried to rein in its allies; Syria threatened to withdraw the deterrent forces from Beirut if the fighting did not stop.
