●Diab publicly attacks the central bank governor

On 29 April 2020 prime minister Hassan Diab publicly held the Banque du Liban governor Riad Salameh responsible for the lira's collapse, accusing him of opacity and "suspicious" performance, and the government raised his dismissal; President Aoun, Amal and Future refused the dismissal, the government backed down, and it lost what remained of its cover.
