In February 1992, days after his election as secretary-general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah gave his first long interview to "As-Safir", setting out the party's line after Sayyed Abbas: the continuation of the resistance, replying to the targeting of civilians with Katyushas, and distinguishing between the resistance and internal political action.
