✸Thirty Katyushas on the Galilee after the killing of Rida Yassin: "the July understanding no longer binds"

On the night of 31 March 1995, hours after the helicopter assassination of the commander Rida Yassine, the Islamic Resistance fired some thirty Katyusha rockets at the western and northern Galilee; an Israeli was killed in Nahariya and nine wounded. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah declared that the July 1993 understanding "is no longer binding" as long as Israel carried out assassinations outside the strip; Israel argued that assassinating a military commander did not breach the understanding, and answered with shelling that wounded seven Lebanese civilians.
