On 27 June 2020, after an interview by the American ambassador Dorothy Shea on "al-Hadath" in which she attacked Hezbollah, the judge of urgent matters in Tyre, Mohammad Mazeh, issued a ruling banning the media from interviewing her for a year on pain of a fine. Shea answered: "The American embassy will not be silenced", ministers counted the ruling an overreach of jurisdiction, and the judge was summoned to the judicial inspectorate; he resigned on 30 June in protest, and his resignation was accepted on 14 July.
