●Nasrallah's press conference after the capture

At noon on 12 July 2006 Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced at a press conference the execution of "the Truthful Promise" and the capture of two Israeli soldiers, saying the aim was to free the Lebanese prisoners and that "no one in the world can bring them back except through indirect negotiation", and warning Israel against an "adventure"; Olmert declared war in the evening.
