On 28 August 2008 a Lebanese army helicopter approached a Hezbollah training camp over the Sujud hills in Iqlim al-Tuffah without prior coordination. It was fired on in the belief that it was an Israeli helicopter, made an emergency landing, and the pilot, First Lieutenant Samer Hanna, was killed; after an internal uproar Hezbollah handed the shooter to the state to cut off strife, and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah called the incident "a painful mistake".
