✸The Adaisseh clash between the Lebanese and Israeli armies

On 3 August 2010 the Lebanese army clashed with an Israeli force that tried to uproot a tree on the border at Adaisseh; two Lebanese soldiers, the "al-Akhbar" correspondent Assaf Abu Rahhal and an Israeli officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel were killed, and a debate over arming the army followed.
