On 21 November 2013 the Russian-chartered, Moldovan-flagged ship "Rhosus" docked at the port of Beirut, coming from Batumi in Georgia bound for Mozambique, carrying some 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate. In December 2013 the ship was impounded by court order (1031/2013) over debts to two companies; its owner abandoned it, and its crew remained held on board for about a year.
