●Founding of the Movement of the Deprived

Musa al-Sadr, together with Hussein al-Husseini, announced the founding of the Movement of the Deprived at a rally in Baalbek, with the aim of reforming and improving Lebanon's political system. He spoke the famous phrase "arms are the adornment of men" and called on the Shia to rise against deprivation and refuse to remain marginalised "Matawila".
