●Nasrallah: two members recruited by the CIA; the embassy a "den of spies"

On 24 June 2011 Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced the uncovering of three spies inside the party, two of them recruited by the American Central Intelligence Agency through officers at the embassy in Awkar, which he called "a den of spies"; the embassy denied it. In November 2011 American officials admitted to the Associated Press that the party had dismantled part of the agency's network in Lebanon, and in December al-Manar broadcast the names of agency officers and their meetings with informants in Beirut restaurants.
