✸Storming of the Sojod and Bir Kallab positions on Jabal al-Rihan

On 18 September 1986 the mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance held for six hours the fortified Sojod and Bir Kallab positions of Lahd's militia on Jabal al-Rihan and announced the annihilation of their garrisons; the militia's radio admitted eleven dead and 24 wounded. The resistance's first filmed operation: the footage of the assault was broadcast, beginning the policy of documenting operations on camera, which became a permanent media weapon.
