☠The Mahmoud Rafeh network exposed: a Mossad cell behind assassinations since 1999

On 10 June 2006, after the assassination of the Majzoub brothers, the Lebanese army arrested Mahmoud Rafeh and members of his network. The army said Rafeh had confessed that the Mossad recruited him in 1999 with four others to carry out assassinations, among them the resistance commanders Ali Deeb (1999) and Ali Saleh (2003) and Jihad Jibril (2002). The military court sentenced him to death in February 2010; Israel denied it, and Walid Jumblatt at the time cast doubt on the account.
