✸Gunfire in Hamra and the Aley hostage swap

After midnight on 12 May 2008 shooting broke out in Hamra near Saad Hariri's house and an Al Jazeera crew was hurt and evacuated by the army; the four Aley municipal policemen were released in exchange for some thirty Hezbollah members held by the PSP, one person was killed and six wounded in Tripoli, and the army gave the combatants (in Tripoli) until 13 May before intervening by force.
