●End of Michel Sleiman's term

On 25 May 2014 Michel Sleiman's term ended without the election of a successor after parliament failed to secure a quorum; the presidential vacancy lasted two and a half years until the election of Michel Aoun in October 2016, the longest presidential vacancy.
